- The license management has been upgraded
- ASReml-W a new improved windows client to run ASReml
- ASReml-S an add-in module to run ASReml in S-plus
- ASReml-R an add-in module to run ASReml in R
- The Analysis of Variance table has been expanded to optionally include a conditional Wald F-statistic
and in most cases, denominator degrees of freedom can be calculated allowing significance testing of the F-statistics.
- Ability to generate a template .as from command line.

- No limit on storage of alphabetic factor labels.
- Ability to sort factor levels.
- Ability to read data and time fields.

- New .grm file extension can be used to supply an univerted matrix in sparse format which will
